Super Storm Yolanda

Super storm Yolanda. One of the strongest storms in history. Millions of people affected and  billions of properties destroyed counting of over 200 deaths and still counting while others are still missing. Yolanda started in the Pacific ocean and as the storm gets closer, it gets bigger and stronger. With a circumference of 600 kilometers in diameter and a wind speed of 215 kilometers per hour. Te storm passed from Leyte to Palawan, causing millions of pesos of damages to lives and properties. I think it is not just God who made the storm, but it is in the rules of nature. Yes, we know that the Philippines is often visited by thunderstorms because our country is so small and surrounded by the sea. Want to migrate/live in other country? I think it is not a good idea. Just like the Philippines, other countries are also visited by storms. Not just storms, other calamities as well. A storm is caused by the wind whirling with anything that surrounds it. When a wind is surrounded by water, it is called thunderstorm. When a storm is surrounded by sand, it is called sandstorm. When a wind is surrounded by snow, it is called snowstorm. When A storm is in the Philippines, other neighbor countries our watching. Example, when a storm passing the Philippines and it is going to the west, China is watching because if the storm gets out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), China will be ready for they know they are next. Or if it is going North, Japan or Taiwan is watching for they will prepare for the upcoming storm that will arrive. Or in south, Malaysia/Indonesia will be watching for the Philippine storm updates for they know they are next.  There are also storms in western countries like America and Europe. Not just thunderstorms but hurricanes as well. Japan, are not prepared not just in storms but in earthquakes as well. Japan faces over a hundred tremors over a year, worse is tsunami (a big wave). In the deserted middle eastern countries, sandstorms happen, it is lime a typhoon but no water involved. I think storm happens in every countries but storm types depend geographically. Like here in the Philippines, thunderstorm happens because it is surrounded by water. In middle east, sandstorm happens because they are surrounded by sand. In America, hurricane happens because they are surrounded with houses and cars. Storms are caused by winds but because America is a big land, no water or land is involved so it is just the wind itself. Look at ever hurricane in America and see how it blows things like cars and trees. It also happens in the Philippines. You just can barely see it because of the rain. The next time the storm hit the country. Be aware of the wind strength, not just the rain. So for me, as an atheist, prayer is futile. If you say God made everything then you just claimed that God also made Yolanda. And for me, as a human being who understands a little about meteorology, storms as just part of our lives, between sunny days.
